Some Volunteer like the mine - Jeffrey's Bay Kinderga...

Spectacular South Africa

Our main targets have been helping with social relationships during camps, tours, helping poor people, building for the orhans, teaching healph care and developing new handcraft techniques and internet uses for communication and trade.

it has been a long year since I got here.
Eventhough I feel at home and I would like to stay loner, I am a bit homesick and I think it's high time I returned to see my friends, my family and my boyfriends.

ALL IN ALL i'D LIKE TO RETURN ONE DAY, to live again this 9 months volunteer experience, the friendship, their culture ( music and danses) and try once more their typical mouth watering  Gatsby (sandwich), go surfing and help a bit more and face their development in the meantime.
Gatsby (sandwich)

I think I am more mature thanks to this experience which has opened up my eyes and heart that's why I highly recommend it.
All of this is beyond comparison as nothing similar would have happened if I had not taken this gap year.
Three day excursion

This excursion I did with the school children!!!

Some photos that I took of the school trip

It didn't live up my poor expectations.

It was much better!!!

My first impression had nothing to do with my prejudices of poverty, illiteracy, of black population, of poor accomodations, of lack of technology and faciltes.

Cape town looks modern, clean, welcoming, hospitable, organised, up dated facilities, cheap, multi racial, multi languages and finantially accessible.

South Africa

View of the Table Mountain
of the Victoria Wharf Shopping Center.
I just arrived at Cape Town last Thurday morning, which is a spectacular city. I can’t wait to do all I want. Thurday, after a long, long flight, I arrived at Cape Town international airport. When I went out of the building, I did not believe how hot it was; I thought I was going  to faint. it was boiling hot!
After going by taxi to the hotel and checking in, I left the baggage in my double room and immediately I walked to Victoria Wharf Shopping Center. This country is so cheap that I wanted to buy it all!
After two hours walking, I went to a meeting at the nearby travel agency to make accommodation and job arrangements. Later on I carried on walking towards the Shopping Center where I had the most delicious Haagen Dazs ice cream.
At sunset, I couldn't believe my eyes,  there was an impressive typical dance along music street show. It was amazing!
On waiting for meal time, I was connecting by wifi in the hall when I met one Australian girl who invited meto have dinner with her and two European girls, and one American boy that she has meet before. The dinner was incredible! The food was really good, it was a buffet and this people are very nice. I laugh a lot with them. They told me their anecdotes, all they are doing the same that me, all are different adventure, but all fascinated.

The amazing view of the top of the Table Montain
Next friday, we meet at 8 a.m. at the hall, and we went out toured together. At the morning, we visit the Table Mountain, an amazing place with a stunning view. After lunch, we went to Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was prisoner which was terrifying to know how people survived under those horrible conditions.
At lunchtime, we decided to move to Jeffreys Bay, to work and go surfing in its wavy waters!!! I was very exciting to go, because they told me that they are one of the best beaches on the world to surfing.
So, I phoned the travel agency to book accommodation and find jobs for us. Also, I went to the supermarket to buy some necessary things for the trip.

The sunset of  Mossel Bay (of my vindow)
Yesterday morning, we set off by my new American friend's car, Jack. Jeffreys Bay, there we go!! We stopped in Mossel Bay, a seaside city, to stay the night. It is so beautiful, all the houses are similar with basic alike architecture which made me feel at home.

Our living room view of the house (Saint Francis Bay)

Today we arrived to our dreamlike destination, Jeffreys bay where we met another travel agency who took us to our new home. It is next to the beach, it is bigger, there are 6 bedrooms on suit, a big kitchen, a living room, a playroom and outside we have a pool! Now, we are living together as a family.

And  what about my room?  It's enormous with a view to the beach from my queen bed. on my right I have been posting photos of my family, my friends, my boyfriend and messages on the wall, there is a big closet which looks still untidy, and opposite a desk with a tv and a computer from where I'm writing this. All I need is here. I am a tired but really happy and I can't believe this unforgettable experience.

Jack is pasting the last photo, isn't beautiful?
